First go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isc.org\/downloads\/\">http:\/\/www.isc.org\/downloads<\/a>\u00a0and look for <strong>BIND, <\/strong>underneath\u00a0select right version, for windows we have to choose the &#8222;(zip)&#8220; option of the latest release of BIND 9.<\/p>\n<p>2. Then click on the Download button, after that hyperlinks with requested version appears and we are able to download the actual zipfile.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 328px; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/image\/windows\/win7\/isc-dig-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. when we had sucesfully downloaded the archive file,\u00a0extract the zipfile content to a temporary directory on your workstation.<\/p>\n<p>4. go into this directory and run &#8222;BINDInstall.exe&#8220;, then choose the &#8222;Tools only&#8220; option and target directory where to install dig, I had choosen c:\\dig<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 400px; height: 607px; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/image\/windows\/win7\/isc-dig-2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. Next add the path of the dig folder (c:\\dig\\bin) to the system PATHS variable. We should do it folowing way:<\/p>\n<p>click on the Start button &gt; Right click on &#8222;My Computer&#8220; &gt; Properties &gt; \u00a0Advanced System Settings &gt; Advanced tabs &gt;\u00a0Environment Variables<br \/>\nthen Append ;C:\\dig\\bin\\ to the Path variable. Then restart Command Prompt.<\/p>\n<p>5.
