You can obtain Kodi for Windows\/macOS\/Linux using the official Kodi webpage: <a href=\"https:\/\/kodi.tv\/download\">https:\/\/kodi.tv\/download<\/a> For Raspberry Pi, we recommend using LibreELEC distribution available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/libreelec.tv\/downloads_new\">https:\/\/libreelec.tv\/downloads_new<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guide was written for Kodi 18 and Tvheadend 4.2.8. Select Install option to install Tvheadend addon into Kodi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Enter all the necessary information to connect to Tvheadend server such as IP address, Username and Password. Return to the main menu of Kodi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you should be able to use TV menu located in the Kodi main menu.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any issues connecting from Kodi to Tvheadend server, first check the user profile settings in the Tvheadend itself. Here are the settings of the profile I am using to watch the live TV and use recordings from Kodi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"561\" height=\"628\" src=\"https:\/\/nil.uniza.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/tvheadend-settings-kodi.png\" class=\"wp-image-5273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nil.uniza.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/tvheadend-settings-kodi.png 561w, https:\/\/nil.uniza.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/tvheadend-settings-kodi-268x300.png 268w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 561px) 100vw, 561px\" \/><figcaption>Tvheadend user profile settings for Kodi access <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, there is no need to assign the Web interface access or admin rights for the user used only for Kodi.
