If the AV pausing does not help, there is an option to kill the AV process using a standard way (using the task manager). However, Eset AV has enabled by default a Self-defense feature preventing to do that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore to be able to kill the process this feature has to be disabled. To do that follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open ESET (NOD) AV (v6 in my case)<\/li><li>Press F5 for advanced settings<\/li><li>Go to Antivirus => HIPS<\/li><li>Uncheck Enable Self-defense (disable it)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"742\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/nil.uniza.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image.png\" class=\"wp-image-4233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nil.uniza.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image.png 742w, https:\/\/nil.uniza.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image-300x207.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 742px) 100vw, 742px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Restart Computer<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After restart we should be ale to kill the ESET process.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eset AV sometimes prevents to run and install some applications, for example microtorrent client or virtualbox extension pack.
