Kamailio IMS – Base configuration testing

Testing the basic Kamailio IMS setup, as it is described in Installing base Kamailio IMS platform on the debian squeeze – 32bit. We are using test1.local zone, where pcscf.test1.local, scscf.test1.local, icscf.test1.local and hss.test1.local are used.

Boghe <==> Boghe

Working without problems.

Configuration of client:

  • General tab: Identity against your IMS platform.
Display Name: Palo
Public identity: sip:palo@test1.local
Pivate identity: palo@test1.local
Password: password
Realm: sip:test1.local
  • Network: check in Proxy-CSCF discovery using DNS NAPTR+SRV check box

That's all for basic testing.

Configuration of HSS:

  • Sets basic MD5 digest authentication (HSS) for an user

Tested and working features:

  • registration yes
  • audio call yes
  • video call yes
  • chat (MSRP) yes
  • file transfer (MSRP) yes
  • sigcom no
  •  

Monster <==> Monster

Configuration of client:

  • General tab: Identity against your IMS platform.
  • Switch off presence, for cleared debugging

That's all for basic testing.

Configuration of HSS:

  • Setting basic MD5 digest authentication (HSS)

Tested and working features:

Under win 7 64bit:

  • registration
  • audio calls yes, but have to be setup as direct sound
  • video call – half way
  • chat yes
  • file transfer half way

Boghe <==> Monster

seems like above..working half way

 

Bria 2.4 <==> Boghe

Bria (Xlite) is able to register and make audio and video call over Kamailio IMS infrastructure against the Boghe client. Have to use Proxy configuration pointing out on your P-CSCF server.
